Sandy Carter, Point Dume Marine Science School's Educator of the Month, was honored at a celebration at Duke's Malibu last week. Carter is the marine science teacher at the school. She teaches children in kindergarten through fifth grade about beaches, tide pools, kelp forest ecosystems and other marine life.
